Slight upgrade is warranted, with the 2016 vintage being the standout. The winemakers I spoke with concur, citing 2016 as the superior year. A notable exception was the glassware, which exhibited a lingering funk smell that persisted even after thorough cleaning. A fresh glass was subsequently employed, allowing the aromas to unfold with a distinct hay, rhubarb, and maturated cherry profile. The flavor profile is defined by cherry, raspberry, faint blueberry, and a trace of peat soil. The 2016 vintage stands out, with a notable GSM blend of 50, 30, and 20.
