Voss Expert tasting note

A remarkable testament to the longevity of Mondeuse, this wine presents a deep garnet hue with a translucent rim, indicative of its age. The bouquet unfolds with layers of dried black cherry, forest floor, and a hint of black pepper, underscored by a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with finely integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that enlivens the complex tapestry of flavors, including wild berries, earthy truffle, and a whisper of leather. The finish is long and gracefully persistent, showcasing the wine's enduring elegance and regional authenticity.

Fabien Trosset Arbin Mondeuse 1952 is crafted from the Mondeuse grape, native to the Savoie region in France. The vineyard benefits from a continental climate with alpine influences, providing cool nights that help preserve acidity. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks to maintain its varietal purity and is aged in neutral oak barrels to enhance its structure without overpowering its natural flavors. This wine offers a medium-bodied profile with vibrant acidity, showcasing dark berry notes and a hint of spice. It is intended for those who appreciate a fresh, fruit-driven style.
