Domini Veneti Verjago

Domini Veneti Verjago is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with complex layers of black fruit, chocolate, and subtle oak. While some appreciate its bold flavors and smooth tannins, others find it overpowering. The wine's aromas of black currant, cherry, and mocha, along with hints of spice, contribute to a well-rounded experience. It benefits from aeration, enhancing its depth and balance.

Domini Veneti Verjago presents an intriguing bouquet that combines notes of ripe stone fruits, particularly peach and apricot, with a gentle hint of citrus zest. There is an underlying minerality that speaks to the terroir, offering a slightly stony character alongside delicate floral aromas reminiscent of white blossoms. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and refreshing, showcasing a crisp acidity that balances the lush fruit flavors beautifully. The stone fruit richness is complemented by a subtle creaminess, possibly hinting at a brief period of lees contact, which adds depth. As it lingers, a touch of almond and a whisper of herbaceousness emerge, providing complexity. The finish is clean and inviting, leaving a lingering impression of fresh fruit and a slight salinity that beckons another sip. Overall, Verjago is an elegant expression of its region, showcasing both freshness and depth with a captivating charm.
