Maneesh
Substantial wine for a rose, with a multitude of elements unfolding (according to my son Daelan!). The color is a light cranberry hue, with a nose that is red and orange in tone, accompanied by a amazing acidity. The ending is long and red berry in character. Overall, a very pleasing wine.
Matia Sahd
A smooth blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan yields a rich, fruity flavor profile with whispers of sweet strawberries, full cherries, and tart raspberries.

We were presented with a carefully curated selection of wines to complement our multi-course meal, featuring a variety of meats, seafood, cheese, and desserts. The sommelier's recommendation was to pair us with a bottle of rosé, which proved to be an excellent highlight for each course. Little did we know that Tavel, a renowned region known for its rosés, was the setting for our evening. The wine maker, who had been invited to the dinner, offered us a tasting of his latest rosé, which we eagerly accepted. The encounter was a memorable one, and we left with a newfound appreciation for the versatility of rosé in fine dining.

This Tavel rosé receives consistent praise for its full-bodied character and complex red berry flavors (strawberry, cherry, raspberry) balanced by refreshing acidity. While many appreciate its elegant structure and long finish, some note occasional bitterness. The wine shows remarkable versatility, pairing well with diverse cuisines and aging gracefully in better vintages.
This Domaine de la Mordorée La Dame Rousse Tavel Rosé has a beautiful, pink hue and an attractive nose of ripe strawberries, raspberries and currants. The palate is full of flavor and complexity, offering notes of strawberry jam, melon, orange blossom, and a hint of spice. The finish is long, crisp and refreshing, with bright acidity and a lingering minerality that add complexity. Overall, this is an excellent and highly enjoyable Rosé from the Southern Rhône.
