Domaine Boussey's Monthélie 1er Cru 'Sur la Velle' Blanc is crafted from Chardonnay grapes grown in the esteemed 1er Cru vineyards of Monthélie, located in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France. The vineyard benefits from a continental climate with cool nights, promoting balanced acidity in the grapes. The wine undergoes fermentation in oak barrels, with a portion being new oak, contributing subtle toasty notes. This white Burgundy is characterized by its fresh citrus and stone fruit flavors, underpinned by a mineral backbone and a creamy texture, intended for those who appreciate a refined, elegant style.
