Davide Carlone Vespolina is praised for its dry, peppery, and woody notes, offering a bold and assertive profile. The wine is considered cost-effective and satisfying.
The 2020 Davide Carlone Vespolina presents a captivating garnet hue, indicative of its vibrant character. On the nose, it unveils a bouquet of wild red berries, crushed violets, and a hint of white pepper, underscored by subtle earthy nuances. The palate is medium-bodied, showcasing a harmonious interplay of bright acidity and fine-grained tannins that lend structure and finesse. Flavors of ripe cherry and cranberry are complemented by a whisper of anise and mineral undertones, leading to a persistent, elegant finish. This Vespolina exemplifies the varietal's potential, offering a compelling expression of the Alto Piemonte terroir.
