Cusumano Alta Mora Guardiola Etna Rosso 2019

Robust and full-bodied Etna red, with a gentle feel and a rich flavor profile that demonstrates a range of rich fruit notes, comprising blackberry, cherry, and subtle flavors of ash and oak.

A graceful and detailed wine with a rich, supple texture, unveiling the best of Etna's terroir. The 100% Nerello Mascalese grape variety is impeccably suited to the high altitude and old-vine production methods, resulting in a wine that is both elegant and robust. The dry, blackberry-dominated flavor profile is consistent by a backbone of ash and smoky wood, at the same time firm tannins and high brightness provide backbone and depth. The wine's medium body is accompanied by a short, intense finish, making it a perfect pairing for game meat. A wine that is sure to impress, with a long-lasting trail and a rich, comforting mouthfeel.

Rich, polished wine with a deep, rich fruit profile that unfolds effortlessly on the palate, leaving a delightful finish. A memorable red in my Sicilian journey, this wine is a masterclass in seamlessness and nuance. The oak and wood layers add body and complexity, elevating the fruit accents to new heights. A truly outstanding wine, with a score of 4.2 that is simply wow!
