Amadio
Rare gem in my neighborhood wine store, this wine is a true standout. Its deep golden glow is accompanied by a rich, aromatic smell that is both apricot and peach in character, with subtle flavors of ripe apple and white flower. The minerality and hay suggestions add layers and complexity, and yet the beeswax trail provides a smooth, gentle texture. The wine's bold, full-bodied structure is tempered by a nuance of acidity, making it a pleasure to drink. The trail is long and pleasant, with suggestions of honey and lemon zest. whereas it may be a bit heavy-handed, the wine's interesting character and potential for development make it a worthwhile exploration.
