Château Clerc Milon Pauillac (Grand Cru Classé) 2019

The wine's complexity is still unfolding, with black cherry and cedar notes emerging gradually, but the oak influence is not yet fully integrated, suggesting a potential for further refinement in the future.

Classic Bordeaux blend with a rich, soft texture, Clerc-Milon is a staple in my cellar. I've had the pleasure of savoring several vintages, and 2019 is a standout. The nose is marked by blackberry, leather, oak, tobacco, plum, and a note of earthy undertones. The richness is impressive, and the conclusion is long and satisfying. With age, the wine will only improve, making it a captivating selection for special occasions.

The wine was overly young, with a harsh tannic backbone that required a solid accompaniment, such as a strong cut of meat. during it showed promise in its leather and oak notes, it ultimately fell short in its fruitiness, with a lasting impression that lingered for a considerable amount of time. The nose was influenced by by the pungent, earthy scent of black olives.
