The 2018 Ceretto Asili Barbaresco presents itself with a radiant garnet hue, indicative of its Nebbiolo pedigree. The nose is an intricate tapestry of rose petal, red currant, and anise, underpinned by a subtle hint of dried herbs. On the palate, it unfolds with remarkable finesse, showcasing a harmonious interplay of silky tannins and vibrant acidity. The mid-palate reveals layers of cherry compote and earthy minerality, leading to a lingering finish with whispers of licorice and cedar. This Barbaresco exemplifies the elegance and complexity characteristic of the Asili cru, promising graceful evolution over the next decade.

Saintbal
Their Barbaresco from the esteemed Asili cru is a masterclass in elegance, revealing a polished mineral profile and a vibrant red fruit character. The tannins are distinctly firmer than those from their Bernadot cru, adding dimension and richness to this superb wine.

Ceretto's 2014 vintage is often overlooked due to the harsh weather conditions. However, the winery's Asili is a distinguished example. The lack of rainfall led to a more concentrated and textured fruit profile, which is characteristic of the winery's style. The 2014 vintage is markedly notable for its intensity and power, which are amplified in this particular year. The nose is driven by by notes of raspberry, ripe red cherry, and dry earth, with subtle flavors of violet and rose. The sensation is similarly intense, with a dense fruit impression that is both long and satisfying. Overall, the 2014 Asili is a wine that is full of potential and promises to return to its elegant roots.
Noom
Delicate and elegant Barbaresco from Ceretto's prized single vineyard parcel, showcasing a clear and vibrant ruby red color, with a fruit-forward nose of cherry and red berry notes. The tannins are well-integrated, contributing to a consistent and balanced overall profile.
