Castello di Monsanto Fabrizio Bianchi Sangioveto Grosso Toscana

Full-bodied wine with a rich, earthy character, featuring a rich mix of forest floor, soil, and dried herb notes, seamless by a dry and tannic finish.

Rich and intriguing wine with a multifaceted character. On initial impressions, it appears to be a leathery and tired wine, but as it opens, a different side emerges. A intense and aromatic profile unfolds, featuring flavors of amaro, sweet inky cherry, and dusty savoury sage. The scent of dry herb and cracked fennel seeds adds depth, during a accent of wood spice and soft leather provides a nuanced nuance. The wine's medium body is cohesive by spicy and ripe tannins, accompanied by clean zest and supple fruit. in contrast it may not possess the same level of profile or tannin finesse as Il Poggio, it is an interesting and engaging wine with a unique character.

The initial essence displays a classic Sangiovese profile, with bright cherry accents and nuanced deep chocolate undertones. The mid-palate introduces a note of leather and Cabernet, before gradually opening up and revealing a more intricate flavor profile. The wine's aging potential is evident, as it begins to integrate with the surrounding tastes after a brief period of maturation. It pairs well with hearty tomato-based soups and a well-seasoned steak, featuring its versatility and depth.
