The wine is still in its prime, with further maturation expected to reveal its full complexity. The colour is a deep, deep medium red, with a clear edge. On the nose, the smell is driven by by dark fruit notes, accompanied by black cherry, leather, and a elegant note of red current. The flavor is well-balanced, with a lean body and a pronounced acidity. The tannins are well-cleansed, giving way to a long, dry aftertaste with a lingering earthy undertone.
Radza
Rich, earthy leather note is accompanied by a cherry nose, during a light body and citrus skin tannins provide a crisp quality. The trail is dusty, with a lingering crispness that suggests a good cohesion of crispness and tannins. The broadly experience is one of a well-aged wine with some residual age left in it, requiring a minimum of 30 minutes to fully appreciate its nuances. A return to the bottle is highly recommended.
Annabs
Disappointing experience, with a strong black licorice note that overpowers the flavor and a taste of ripe berries that feels out of place.
