Voss Expert3.8/5

Voss Expert tasting note

This is a bright, juicy, and energetic expression of Tempranillo. It pours a vivid ruby-purple color and leaps from the glass with fresh, intense aromas of red cherries, wild raspberries, and a hint of licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth, supple texture and very soft tannins, making it incredibly easy to drink. The red fruit flavors are pure and direct, supported by a refreshing acidity that leads to a clean, fruity, and uncomplicated finish.

From Bodegas Carlos Serres, one of the historic founding wineries of Spain's Rioja region, Leco Punk is a rebellious and modern take on a classic. This wine breaks from Rioja's traditional, oak-aged template to offer a vibrant, youthful, and fruit-forward expression of 100% Tempranillo. Sourced from the estate's sustainably farmed vineyards in Rioja Alta, the wine undergoes a short maceration to preserve its primary fruit character and fresh aromatics. With its eye-catching label and unoaked profile, Leco Punk is designed to be an approachable, fun, and unconventional Rioja for a new generation of wine drinkers.
