The northwest Italian terroir is defined by a minerality that permeates the nose, accompanied by a opulent and succulent fruit profile, especially the classic Barbera. A crisp and lively way to unwind on a warm evening, the wine's zest and controlled tannins make it an ideal recommendation for sipping and savoring.

What the web is saying

Ca' del Sarto Barbera d'Alba is praised for its well-balanced blend of red fruit flavors, including cherry and raspberry, with a smooth texture and soft tannins. While some find it a superb value with a delightful nose, others note a lack of nuance and watery feel. It pairs well with various dishes, making it a versatile choice for casual dining.

Voss Experts4.5

This Barbera d'Alba presents a vibrant ruby hue, characteristic of its varietal. The nose is a harmonious blend of ripe red cherries, violets, and subtle earthy undertones, underscored by a whisper of sweet spice from judicious oak aging. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with a lively acidity that enlivens the rich fruit core, offering flavors of tart cranberry and plum. The tannins are finely grained, providing a silky texture that leads to a persistent, mineral-laden finish. This wine exemplifies the elegance and balance typical of Barbera from the Alba region.
