I rediscovered this exceptional wine in 2011 and was pleasantly surprised to find it still holds up remarkably well. I had previously considered it alongside Henri Boillot, but ultimately decided to explore its full potential. In the end, I opted to pair it with both, and I'm pleased to report that it proved to be a versatile and impressive choice. The wine's gentle spice and aromatic nuances are uniquely noteworthy, distinctly in its mid-palate. Its dry lasting impression is also noteworthy, making it a top notch match for a range of dishes. 2009 is indeed a highly regarded vintage, and I believe this wine is well-suited to its own merits. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the world of 1er cru.

Year of outstanding excellence for Buisson-Charles, with a importantly impressive range in 2021. Starting in February, I've been thoroughly enjoying the entire selection. The quality on offer is truly outstanding, with a distinguished Meursault Gouttes D'Or featuring notes of lemon peel, vanilla, and hazelnut on the nose. This is a quintessential white burgundy that truly lives up to its reputation, making it a dream to drink. 2021 has been a particularly successful year for Buisson-Charles, and I'm grateful for the elite quality on offer. One more to go, but I'm already looking forward to the next release.

While some highlight its aging potential and food versatility, others emphasize its elegant structure and refreshing finish.
