Bodega Familia Cassone Obra Prima Maximus Gran Reserva Familiar 2017

This full-bodied Argentine blend is praised for its balanced structure, ripe fruit flavors, and spice notes with a supple texture and long finish. While most appreciate its complexity and velvety tannins, one review noted an unpleasant synthetic odor. The wine's Malbec-dominated blend and oak aging contribute to its rich character.

On the nose, you can expect intense aromas of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by hints of spice and oak. These aromas continue to evolve and become more pronounced as the wine opens up. The palate is equally impressive, with a full-bodied and velvety texture that coats the mouth. The flavors are well-balanced, with notes of black cherry, cassis, and dark chocolate, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and forest floor. The tannins are smooth and integrated, providing structure and depth to the wine. The Bodega Familia Cassone Obra Prima Maximus Gran Reserva Familiar is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has good aging potential.
