Perrette Ijsseling
Well-rounded character of toasted oak, liquorice, and jammy black fruits; black plum, blackcurrant that evoke a sweet and savory note; a soft accent of tobacco; a fresh and fruity taste with accents of red plum; a smooth, oaky ending with tannins and acidity; a contenting finish.
Naffy
Rich, silky wine with a gentle finish, giving a fruity and rosy character that is both easy going and satisfying.
Adm
Bold and fruity wine with a supple texture, showcasing a deep blend of port and red currant notes, alongside mild subtle flavors of black raspberry. while it doesn't quite match the level of quality we've come to expect from Lang-Rousillion, it's still a solid effort. 91/100

Big Basin Gabilan Mountains GSM is praised for its bold, fruity flavors with notes of black raspberry, red currant, and plum. While some find it lacks the expected quality of Lang-Rousillion, others appreciate its velvety texture and nuanced character. The wine is noted for its smooth, oaky finish and balanced tannins, offering a satisfying and comforting drinking experience.
This wine presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The nose unfurls with a complex bouquet of ripe blackberries, violets, and a hint of garrigue, underscored by subtle notes of anise and dark chocolate. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that carries flavors of plum compote and black pepper, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. This GSM exemplifies the rugged elegance of the Gabilan Mountains, offering a harmonious balance and depth that will reward careful cellaring.
