A Viognier for the uninitiated, this wine offers a unique experience. in contrast it may not be as fruit-forward as some other Viognier expressions, it has a distinct character that sets it apart. The oak layers on the lasting impression add a elegant complexity, making it a worthwhile exploration for those looking to venture beyond the typical fruit-driven style.

Barboursville Viognier Reserve offers a vibrant and complex experience, praised for its floral and tropical fruit notes, including pear, peach, and citrus. While some find it elegant and sophisticated, others feel it lacks standout qualities. The wine's medium body and balanced acidity are appreciated, with oak adding complexity. It's ideal for those seeking a non-traditional Viognier, though some may find it ordinary.
