Rich, concentrated red color with a nuanced sheen. The nose is powered by by sweet, ripe red fruit with a wisp of herbaceousness, at the same time the texture is vibrant and refreshing, with a understated bitterness that balances the fruitiness. The follow through is medium, with a lingering aftertaste of coffee and a note of tar.

Supple and graceful liquorice note is cohesive by the sweetness of the soft and mellow Coca, and yet the full bodied inky fruits add complexity and complexity. The tannins are well-integrated, and the lasting impression is long and satisfying. The glassware is generous, with a generous pour that highlights the wine's best qualities. Overall, a amazing investment for the price, with a lot to offer for those looking for a well-balanced and fulfilling wine.
Rusbel
First taste of Mencia that left a resonant impression. Given by a friend, this wine offered a rich, evolved flavor profile with undertones of cherry, molasses, and licorice. The tannins, in contrast noticeable, were not overwhelming, making it an impressive affordability for its price point. A promising start to this Spanish-specific wine.
