Altos Las Hormigas Blanco 2020 is praised for its smooth, velvety texture and notes of pear and blossom, with a nuanced orange undertone and abundant minerality. While some appreciate its elegance and sophistication, others may find it less remarkable. It offers impressive value for the price.
Altos Las Hormigas Blanco presents a luminous straw hue, indicative of its vibrant character. The nose is a sophisticated interplay of white peach, honeysuckle, and a whisper of wet stone, underscored by a subtle herbaceous edge. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure, with a precise balance of crisp acidity and a creamy texture, evoking notes of ripe citrus and green apple. The finish is elegantly prolonged, with a mineral-driven clarity that speaks to its terroir. This wine exemplifies the finesse and complexity of modern Argentine whites, offering both immediate appeal and potential for short-term aging.
