Rhori
Substantial investment for the quality, not entirely commensurate with the price. The current and cassis suggestions are present, but the rosemary whispers are somewhat overpowered by a noticeable tannic aftertaste.
Ilje
Rich and fascinating pairing of flavors, with the sweetness of chocolate and fudge blended by the warm, spicy tones of cayenne pepper and anise, as the nutmeg and coriander seeds add layers and warmth. The roasted beets and pepitas provide a enjoyable contrast, but the leather and strawberry tones add a touch of elegance. Overall, a well-balanced and engaging combination.
Motoi
Intricate and compelling wine with a rich, oaky character and a tart, sour cherry note.

Alto de la Ballena Cabernet Franc Reserva is praised for its rich, full-bodied character and complex flavors, including notes of red and black fruits, oak, and spices. While some appreciate its boldness and long finish, others find the tannins overpowering and the price not justified. The wine's aromas of plum, cherry, and forest floor are frequently noted, making it a sophisticated choice for pairing with hearty dishes.
This Uruguayan gem showcases a deep garnet hue, revealing its robust character. The bouquet unfolds with layers of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and a hint of green bell pepper, underscored by subtle notes of graphite and cedar. On the palate, it presents a harmonious balance of ripe fruit and savory complexity, with a medium to full body and finely integrated tannins. The vibrant acidity elevates the wine's structure, leading to a lingering finish marked by nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of dried herbs. A compelling expression of Cabernet Franc, reflecting the unique terroir of Maldonado.
