About Weingut Netzl
Weingut Netzl is a family winery with vineyards around Göttlesbrunn in the Carnuntum wine region of eastern Austria. The family's connection with wine spans six generations.
Its 28 hectares of vineyards are farmed organically, with certification from Lacon GmbH. Woodland surrounds Ried Altenberg, where gravel and loess soils contribute to a fresh, cool style that the family considers ideal for Weißburgunder. The forest also brings cool air down onto Ried Haidacker 1ÖTW at night, where Zweigelt grows on loess soils. Its wines include red cuvées from Ried Bärnreiser 1ÖTW, a site with lean, calcareous sandy loess and warmth from the nearby Pannonian region.
