Wairau River is a winery in Marlborough, founded in 1991 by Phil and Chris Rose. Its origins reach back to 1978, when Phil and Chris secured consent to plant the first grapevines on the northern side of the Wairau Valley. They grew fruit for others for more than a decade before creating Wairau River. Nick Entwistle is Chief Winemaker.

The Rose family owns and farms 14 estate vineyards across Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, with the estate extending across more than 500 hectares on the valley’s northern side. Its wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Production is managed in-house, from vineyard and winery through to bottling and warehousing. Across the vineyard and winery, its Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) certification assesses management of water, waste, chemical use and biodiversity.
On VinoVoss, Wairau River has 2 wines in stock: 1 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 460 ratings.
