Rapaura Springs

Rapaura Springs is a Marlborough wine producer owned and operated by the Neylon and Wiffin families. In 1985, a purchase of vineyard land was followed by a partnership with the Wiffins to grow orchard fruits, then establish a grapevine nursery. The Neylon family subsequently converted the orchards into vineyards and built a winery.

Rapaura Springs grows and sources grapes from across all of Marlborough’s sub-regions. Through investment in irrigation technology and water purification, the producer uses around 40% less water than the national average. It also composts grape marc, plants cover crops and grazes sheep to reduce waste and replenish the land. Matt Thomson is the consultant winemaker. Its wines include ROHE Blind River Sauvignon Blanc 2025.
