The Calling is a Sonoma-focused wine producer whose founders, Jim Nantz and Peter Deutsch, met in 2009 and formally established it in 2012. Its winemaker is James MacPhail.

Its wines include Searby Vineyard Chardonnay, made from heritage vines planted in 1972; Our Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon; and Patriarch Pinot Noir, from Putnam Vineyard on the far west Sonoma Coast. All its Chardonnays are barrel fermented in French oak with wild yeasts, undergo full malolactic fermentation, and age on their lees for 11–12 months with frequent stirring. Its red wines also ferment with wild yeasts, followed by extended maceration and malolactic fermentation in French, Eastern European and American oak barrels.
On VinoVoss, The Calling has 2 wines in stock: 1 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 63 ratings.
