Dry Creek Vineyard is a family-owned winery in Dry Creek Valley, founded in 1972 by David S. Stare. It was the valley’s first new winery built after Prohibition, and Stare was the first to plant Sauvignon Blanc there, against the advice of agricultural advisors. In 2011, Tim Bell was hired as winemaker.

Dry Creek Vineyard has 185 acres of estate vineyards, all certified sustainable. Cover crops such as clover and bell beans help rebuild depleted soil by releasing bound nutrients and reducing the need to import fertilizer. The winery also composts grape skins, seeds and other organic material from each fall harvest to return nutrients to the soil. Dry Creek Vineyard’s wines include The Mariner, a Meritage blend featuring the five noble Bordeaux varieties.
On VinoVoss, Dry Creek Vineyard has 4 wines in stock: 2 red, 2 white. Their average rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 749 ratings.
