Ruggeri traces its roots back to the 19th century with Eliseo Bisol and his son Luigi. In 1950, Giustino Bisol founded the current winery with his cousin, using the surname Ruggeri as the brand name. Later, Giustino Bisol's work was carried on by his son Paolo and granddaughter Isabella. Ruggeri has been part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm group since 2017.

Ruggeri works with more than one hundred grape growers. In winemaking, lees aging can last up to 60 months. Its wines include Giustino B., Vecchie Viti, and Ladaltempo. Giustino B. is a Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG capable of extended bottle evolution, and Vecchie Viti is produced exclusively from grapes of centenarian vines.
