The Raymond family arrived in Napa in 1933 and established a 90-acre estate in Rutherford in 1971, when Raymond Vineyards was founded. Jean-Charles Boisset is the proprietor, Stephanie Putnam oversees winemaking, and Sophie Drucker manages the organic and Biodynamic farming.

The estate encompasses 170 acres across the Rutherford and St. Helena appellations, consisting of an original 106-acre Rutherford estate vineyard and a 64-acre estate vineyard in St. Helena. The Founder's Ranch Vineyard block was planted in 1976, and the Stice Vineyard block is planted entirely with Cabernet Sauvignon. The Ticen Vineyard block contains Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, while the largest block is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc. Vineyard farming incorporates cover crops, Biodynamic preparations and composts, and biodiversity maintenance.
