Peyrassol was founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Knights Templar; the estate was acquired by the Ricard family in 1790 and sold to the Rigord family in 1830. Dr Rigord and his wife Françoise inherited it in 1967, and Françoise sold it to Philippe Austruy in 2001. Alban Cacaret manages the estate, Fabien Burani is cellar technical director, Pierre Guérin oversees rosé and white wines, and Derenoncourt Consultants has overseen red wines since 2013.

Located on the foothills of the Maures massif between the Mediterranean Sea and Verdon, the property covers nearly 850 hectares. Cereals and legumes sown between rows in winter aerate soil and prevent erosion. Grapes are transported in 30 kg crates and double-bottomed trailers to avoid oxidation and maceration. Estate-grown wines are certified organic starting with the 2022 vintage, and its wines include Château Peyrassol and Le Clos Peyrassol.
On VinoVoss, Peyrassol has 4 wines in stock: 1 red, 3 rosé. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 110 ratings.
