Château Léoube was built at the end of the 14th century on the same architectural model as the Château de Brégançon. In 1921, the Engelsen & Lebel family acquired the estate at auction from the descendants of Emile Gérard, who had owned it since 1840. Later, Lord and Lady Bamford took over Léoube in 1997.

The estate is located in Provence at Cape Bénat, a rocky point on the Var Mediterranean coast. The 560 hectares estate contains 70 hectares of vines and 22 hectares of olive groves. Léoube has had certified organic farming since 2011, obtained Haute Valeur Environnementale certification in 2020, and obtained B Corp certification in 2026. The estate launched its first vintage and first extra virgin olive oil in 2000, and its wines include the Secret de Léoube cuvée, launched in 2005.
