Montirius is a family wine estate in the Gigondas and Vacqueyras appellations. Its name combines parts of the names of Christine and Eric Saurel’s children: Manon, Justine and Marius. In 1986, Eric and Christine joined the family estate; Justine joined them in 2011 after studying viticulture and oenology.

The estate’s 63 hectares comprise 38 vineyard parcels, with Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah among its grapes. After meeting François Bouchet in 1996, the couple converted the entire vineyard to biodynamic methods. In 1999, Domaine Montirius became the first vineyard certified biodynamic in the Gigondas and Vacqueyras appellations. The estate is certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Biodyvin. Christine and Eric built their own cellar in 2001, followed by their first vintage in 2002.
On VinoVoss, Montirius has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 23 ratings.
