Mazzolino is a wine estate in the Oltrepò Pavese DOC whose story began in 1981. In 1984, Luigi Veronelli and Giacomo Bologna persuaded their friend Enrico that he could make a red wine. After several trials, the first bottle of Noir appeared in 1985. Enrico’s grandchild took charge in 2015 and brought in Stefano Malchiodi as a collaborator.

The estate lies on the right bank of the Po, in the hills beside the Apennines. Differences in exposure and soil led to its division into 39 small parcels, managed separately. Its vineyards grow Pinot Nero, and its wines include Noir. Instead of fertilizers, green manure crops of field beans, alfalfa and phacelia enrich and protect the soil, while treatments use only copper and sulfur.
On VinoVoss, Mazzolino has 2 wines in stock: 1 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 16 ratings.
