Marotti Campi’s history includes the Marotti family’s purchase of property and construction of a villa in the Sant'Amico district of Morro d'Alba in the mid-19th century. Cesare Marotti planted a first vineyard of 8,000 Guyot-trained vines documented in 1886. Giovanni Marotti Campi built a modern cellar in 1999. He directs the estate with Lorenzo and Francesca, with Roberto Potentini as winemaker.

The estate has 120 hectares, including 53 under vine on hills around 180 meters above sea level. Guyot is the main training system. The vineyard area is divided between Lacrima and Verdicchio, with vines aged 10 to 35 years. A few hectares of Montepulciano, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon were planted in 1999 for IGT red wine. Farming uses no irrigation and limits treatments to what is necessary for plant and soil balance. Only estate-grown grapes are vinified, and a small portion of the wines ages in French oak barriques in an underground cellar.
