Gino Umani Ronchi founded the estate in 1957 as a small agricultural farm in Cupramontana in the Marche. In 1968, Roberto Bianchi and his son-in-law Massimo Bernetti acquired the company, taking over the brand and property. Giacomo Mattioli is head enologist, and Luigi Piersanti is head agronomist.

The registered and administrative headquarters were moved to Osimo, where the winery for Rosso Conero was opened, while the winery at Castelbellino is used for the processing of Verdicchio. A new barrel cellar for aging wines was inaugurated in 2000. The producer cultivates 210 hectares of vineyards organically across Marche and Abruzzo and holds Equalitas Corporate Certification. The Centovie estate encompasses 35 hectares in Roseto degli Abruzzi, between the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic Sea, where Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Pecorino are grown organically.
