At Hilo Negro, old vines were rescued and relocated in Valle de Guadalupe alongside new plantings in 2012. In 2015, the winery inaugurated its main building featuring a 50,000-liter production facility, an underground barrel cellar, and restaurant 'emat. The winery is located in El Porvenir, Ensenada, in Valle de Guadalupe. The estate covers 8 hectares with more than 40,000 grapevines, situated at an altitude of 312 meters above sea level and 20 kilometers from the coast. Farming practices include drip irrigation and a trellis training system, and the grapes grown are Cabernet Sauvignon, Primitivo, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Nebbiolo, and Chenin Blanc. For winemaking, the production area has a capacity of 50,000 liters, while the underground cellar has a capacity for over 400 225-liter Bordeaux barrels, where wines age 12 to 24 months in barrels prior to bottling.
