The Pelissa family has been rooted in Napa Valley since 1903; in 1902, Joseph Pelissa arrived in Napa Valley from Liguria, Italy, and purchased his first 35 acres of land in 1903. In 2004, the family established Ghost Block Estate Wines to create wines from their grapes.

The estate crafts wines from the Oakville and Yountville appellations. In Oakville, the estate includes the 56.5-acre Pelissa vineyard, the 64.5-acre Lincoln Creek vineyard, and the 34-acre Rock Cairn vineyard. In Yountville, the vineyards include the 292-acre Block House vineyard, the 35.5-acre Mill Race vineyard, and the 30-acre MorgaenLee vineyard. All 650 acres of grapes are farmed using 100 percent certified organic practices, and the vineyards have been certified by California Certified Organic Farmers since 1991.
On VinoVoss, Ghost Block has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 241 ratings.
