Gandona was founded in 2006, and Gandona has worked with winemaker Philippe Melka. Decades earlier, Bob Long bought the property in 1966 and planted a vineyard that same year, and Long Vineyards winery was founded on the site in 1977, producing Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Riesling.

Gandona is located on Pritchard Hill overlooking Napa Valley and Lake Hennessey, with a winery facility that was completed in 2010. The estate spans 17 acres, and the estate vineyard comprises 12 distinct blocks carved into steep terrain, planted predominantly with Bordeaux varietals on Sobrante Loam variants. Gandona utilizes long-term sustainable practices on its estate, does not purchase outside grapes, and the estate vineyards require multiple hand harvesting passes. Winemaking involves hand-sorting clusters and individual berries, and Gandona uses concrete fermentation tanks before wines are pressed and aged in French oak barrels in an underground cave inside Pritchard Hill.
On VinoVoss, Gandona has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 21 ratings.
