Ferghettina

Ferghettina began as a winery in Erbusco in 1991, when Roberto and his wife Andreina took on four hectares and adapted a building for winemaking. Their first two wines came from the 1991 harvest. Construction of a new headquarters in Adro began in 2002 and finished in 2005. Roberto and Andreina manage the business with help from their children Laura and Matteo, both graduates in oenology.

In Franciacorta, it manages 200 hectares of organically farmed vineyards across 11 municipalities, working with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir harvested by hand. Matteo also designed and patented a square bottle that increases wine–yeast contact during Franciacorta ageing on the lees. Its wines include Franciacorta brut, while its bottlings are limited to Franciacorta DOCG and Curtefranca DOC.
