Fattoria di Vaira

Fattoria di Vaira is a farm in Petacciato, in the province of Campobasso, Molise, founded by Cavalier Francesco Di Vaira, who established a foundation in 1952. Under its statutes, the foundation was chaired by the Bishop of Termoli-Larino. In 2006, the foundation’s board decided to entrust the farm to an external organisation that would respect its original aims.

The 500-hectare estate includes vineyards, olive groves, vegetables, cereals and forage for dairy cattle. It uses biodynamic methods and crop rotation, with composted organic matter applied as fertiliser.
