Dunn

Dunn is a wine producer in Angwin on Howell Mountain; Lori and Randy Dunn purchased 14 acres there in 1978, and the winery was founded in 1979. Napa Valley Cabernet was introduced in 1982, and Randy and neighboring vintners defined the Howell Mountain AVA in 1983.

Dunn owns and farms 42 acres on Howell Mountain and has used organic practices since 2016. Its vineyard purchases include Park Muscatine in 1991 and Eagle Summit in 2018, the latter planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 2000 at 2,100 feet. Cuttings from Park Muscatine supplied the one-acre Los Abuelos block, planted with Petite Sirah and Peloursin in 2005. Its wines include Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon and Napa Valley Cabernet, both made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 32 months in new French oak.
