Cottanera is a wine producer on the slopes of Mount Etna, founded in 1960, whose winegrowing and winemaking activities are all coordinated by Francesco Cambria.

Almost all work in its vineyards, including the harvest, is carried out by hand. The estate produces 10 labels in all: five red wines, two white wines, one rosé and two sparkling wines. Its wines include Etna DOC Rosso, which replaces the previous Barbazzale and is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on lava, alluvial and clay soils.
