Château Maris

Château Maris is a wine estate with vineyards above La Livinière in the Minervois; its vineyard was purchased in 1997, when the soils were dead. Ecocert certification followed in 2002, Biodyvin in 2004 and Demeter in 2008. In 2016, it became the first European vineyard to obtain B Corporation certification.

The estate covers 85 hectares, including 32 hectares of vineyards spread across hillside plots, and grows Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. Its wines include Les anciens, from its oldest Carignan vines, planted in 1904 on the hill overlooking La Livinière, and Dynamic, a Syrah from a 0.7-hectare parcel with clay, limestone and sandstone soils.
