The foundations of Château de Parenchère were built in 1570.

Located in the far east of the Bordeaux region, 38 km from Saint-Émilion near Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Château de Parenchère borders the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne departments. The property spans 188 continuous hectares, with 60 hectares of vineyards including 4 hectares of white varieties. Vineyard plots are situated exclusively on hillsides to allow natural rainwater runoff, on a clay-limestone terroir with a very high clay content. The average age of the vineyard is 25 years, with the oldest vines reaching 60 years. The 56 hectares of red vines are planted with 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec, while the 4 hectares of white vines are planted with 70% Sauvignon, 20% Sémillon, and 10% Muscadelle. Farming practices include alternating grass cover and tillage, limiting treatments, and strictly minimizing organic fertilizer use to vine needs. The estate holds Level 3 Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification since 2012 and obtained Organic Certification in 2024.
On VinoVoss, Château de Parenchère has 4 wines in stock: 4 red. Their average rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 159 ratings.
