Pierre de Lhomme founded Château Giscours, expanding the vineyard between 1552 and 1571. In 1855, the estate was classified as a Third Grand Cru Classé. From 1875 to 1890, Edouard Cruse modernised the estate, created a park around the château, and built Suzanne Farm. Dennis, Derk, and Valérie Albada Jelgersma took over the estate alongside general manager Alexander van Beek after the death of Eric Albada Jelgersma, and Didier Forêt is the technical director.

Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape variety grown on the estate, alongside Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Half of the vineyard area is farmed organically, soil management relies on traditional plowing, and harvesting is carried out by hand. The estate operates two vat rooms for vinification, one for Margaux and one for Haut-Médoc appellation wines. The cellar holds over 1,500 French oak barrels supplied annually by around ten cooperages. Its wines include Château Giscours, La Sirène de Giscours, and Haut-Médoc Giscours, which was first produced in 1992.
On VinoVoss, Château Giscours has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 1,124 ratings.
