The first vines at Château Lagrange were planted at the beginning of the 16th century. Château Lagrange was classified as a 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, and the vineyard's area and plots are identical to those classified in 1855 under Napoleon III.

Located in the Saint-Julien appellation, the estate includes around forty hectares of parkland and woods, as well as a lake. The vines sit on two Günzian gravel knolls, one of which is the highest point in the Saint-Julien AOC, in a single contiguous block around the château. The vineyard has been mapped and divided into 103 plots. A plot-by-plot vat room allows separate vinification for each plot, and bottling is carried out exclusively at the estate. Its wines include Grand Vin de Château Lagrange.
On VinoVoss, Château Lagrange has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 606 ratings.
