Cavalchina was founded in the early 20th century in an area believed to take its name from having been the residence of Count Cavalchini. The winery was built in 1948 and housed a grape pomace distillery until 1967.

The estate is located at the far south-east of the morainic amphitheater of Lake Garda. In the estate's vineyards, vine yields are kept well below their production capacity and below limits recommended by consortiums, and for harvest, grapes are hand harvested in multiple passes to select grapes most suitable for winemaking. In 1962, Cavalchina was the first to name the local white wine Custoza, produced from Fernanda, Trebbiano, and Garganega grapes.
On VinoVoss, Cavalchina has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 15 ratings.
