Bottega was founded as Distilleria Bottega in Pianzano di Godega (Treviso) in 1977 by Aldo Bottega and his wife Rosina. After Aldo’s death, his son Sandro took charge in 1983 with support from his siblings. The business expanded into winemaking in 1992, when a winery was added to the distillery and Il Vino dei Poeti Prosecco was introduced. The distillery then moved to Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano in 2007.

Bottega’s headquarters occupies a seventeenth-century farmhouse surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards. Some of Bottega’s sparkling wines originate in the Prosecco Superiore DOCG hills, an area suited to growing Glera grapes, and its small Vittorio Veneto winery produces wines using the ancestral and classic methods. Its wines include Il Vino dei Poeti Prosecco and Bottega Gold.
