Founded in 2017, Alvaredos Hobbs is a partnership between Paul Hobbs and Antonio López. The winemakers are Paul Hobbs and Cecilia Fernández, who has been a key member of the project since its founding.

Connecting the wine regions of Ribeira Sacra and Valdeorras, the estate comprises 10.8 acres (4.4 hectares) distributed among 13 vineyards. These south-facing sites have slopes ranging from 15% to 55%, with soils consisting of slate, granite, clay, and quartz. The vineyard plots are named after Antonio's family members, including Fructuoso, Marimar, Erico, Joaquín, and Milagros. All vineyards are tilled, pruned, and harvested by hand. The estate grows Godello, Loureiro, Albariño, Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera, and Souson. Winemaking focuses on minimal intervention and fully expressing the potential of each vineyard, and its wines include Godello and Mencía.
