What the web is saying

Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc is praised for its refreshing citrus and tropical fruit flavors, with notes of grapefruit, green apple, and passion fruit. Many enjoy its crisp acidity and clean finish, making it a popular choice for seafood pairings. While some find it a bit too sweet or lacking in complexity, it remains a reliable and enjoyable New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for many wine enthusiasts.

Voss Experts4.5

Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, vibrant wine with flavors of ripe tropical fruit, citrus, and zesty herbal notes. The palate is lively and well-balanced, with a firm acidity that carries through to a refreshingly clean finish. Enjoy this wine on its own or with light fare such as fresh salads, seafood, and light pasta dishes.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
