This Sauvignon Blanc from Von Winning is a masterclass in precision and vibrancy, showcasing a pale straw hue with a glint of green. The nose is an aromatic tapestry of zesty lime zest, white peach, and a whisper of elderflower, underscored by a flinty minerality that speaks to its terroir. On the palate, it is taut and focused, with a lively acidity that frames the juicy citrus and stone fruit core, leading to a long, saline finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and clarity of cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc, making it a benchmark for the region.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Von Winning Lime Rift Sauvignon Blanc is crafted in the renowned Pfalz region of Germany, where the vineyard benefits from a unique limestone-rich soil composition. This terroir imparts a distinct minerality to the wine, complemented by the region's warm days and cool nights, which enhance the grape's natural acidity and vibrant fruit character. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh, aromatic profile. It is designed to be a crisp, refreshing expression of Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing bright citrus notes and a clean, mineral finish, ideal for those seeking a lively and precise white wine.
